Demo: The Development of the Rider's Seat:
Thomas Ritter lectured on the development of the Rider's Seat as one progresses in the training. Apprentice Sarah Liggett rode the Oldenburg Gelding, Andre, at the longeline to show some basic concepts and exercises which are done at the longeline to develop a balanced, supple, and elastic seat. Apprentice Maria Wiltzscheck rode the Lipizzan Gelding, Siglavy Amelinda, to show the next stage in the development of the Rider's Seat: how the rider's seat can furthermore help to influence the horse by affecting the horse's rhythm, balance, swing, and carriage - thereby assisting in the development of the horse's training.
