Pellegrina was born with an injury sustained in the womb. She was evidently twisted in the womb during her gestation. Her muscles and body had developed to accommodate this unusual twist, and upon being born, she was delivered from her "twisted environment" into a world in which she could become straight again. However, because her body and muscles formed in such an unusual way, she is not a likely dressage prospect. With time she has learned to be able to stand straight and move straight, but her most-likely career choice is to become a broodmare. She has an exceptional pedigree, and you can tell that - without her "disability" - she would be an amazing horse! She is beautiful with superb conformation, temperament, and movement.
Because her future is limited to that of a broodmare, she is offered at a very reduced price. We would like her to go to a home that is understanding of her limitations yet at the same time appreciative of what she has to offer.
