The Lipizzan Mare, Maestoso II Catrina, in the Levade in Pillars Thomas Ritter on the Lipizzan Mare, Traga	Training and Lessons at White Horse Vale Our resident trainers, Shana and Dr. Thomas Ritter operate a Classical Riding School out of White Horse Vale Lipizzans, where the mission is to preserve and promote classical dressage. With a comprehensive apprenticeship program, our riders learn every facet of classical training, care, and horse breeding. In addition to traveling throughout the country regularly to teach clinics in various locations, Shana and Thomas welcome students to take lessons at White Horse Vale, either on their own horses which they can stable at the farm during their stay, or on our well-trained lesson horses (many of which are Lipizzans bred by White Horse Vale). Lessons are also available with Assistant Trainer, Lisa Hettman, as well as with the top Apprentices. In addition to training and overseeing the training of WHv'S horses, Thomas and Shana also welcome outside horses into training. Whereas their experience with the baroque breeds is obviously plentiful, they also have considerable experience in the training of warmbloods, Arabians, Morgans, and many other breeds, and welcome any sound, capable horse with a good temperament into their training program.
